Megahorn OHKOes Celebi and Claydol, has a chance to 3HKO defensive Suicune and Swampert, and 2HKOes Blissey and Snorlax. Heracross's two powerful STAB moves, Close Combat and Megahorn, are part of the reason Heracross is such a wrecking ball, being able to 2HKO most of the tier with just those moves. In general, you want to get Mega Heracross on the field as often as possible to give it the most wallbreaking opportunities for your late-game cleaner or sweeper. Heracross can also be used on a rain team; not only does rain halve its weakness to Fire-type attacks, but due to its amazing offensive coverage it can manage to defeat many common threats to rain such as Abomasnow, Tyranitar, Gastrodon, Ferrothorn, and Cresselia.
