しばしば「新世代のバンド」的な形容をされますが，今回のアルバムは6作目。もう立派な中堅どころです。 I have listened to this album for about 5 times now, and some of the songs have grown on me, but I also think Trivium can do better. As a metal-studded cherry on top of this iron-welded cake, Matt Heafy's singing is the best I have ever heard it. This is Trivium at their finest. This is the sound of a future world where trivium are the vigilante warriors destroying the cyborgs! Now working with the front man for the band Disturbed, David Draiman, the group pushed on with a new sound and some considerable boost in song writing quality. Normally, it takes me a few listens of a Trivium album to properly appreciate it and start going on about it every waking hour and day. yes. In Waves was ok, some enjoyable parts, but still no comparison to shogun. triviumといえば僕の中では十字軍のイメージが強いのですが、このアルバムはガラッと方向性が変わっていますね。 A few weeks later and I'm loving it. I was very surprised to unwrap this brand new album I had bought (very fast delivery, can't complain) but when I opened it, the (correct) case had madonna's "Like a virgin" album. Strife 4. Through Blood And Dirt And Bone 8. At the End of This War (3) 7. Some tracks sound similar,but the concept idea works,it all feels like concept album so i treat it as such. This is no different, it's a fast-paced, brutal answer to the scene kids currently running amok in the genre. But it did make me laugh so I'll give a two star. The album is blistering and Euphoric from start to finish.

Awesome, got every Trivium album, this is up there with the best. There is nothing much to distinguish this American band from a whole host of others that originate from Germany and Scandinavia. アメリカ出身のメタルコアバンドの6thアルバムです。若手メタルコアバンドとしてデビューした彼らも、4thアルバム「Shogun」あたりから中堅の風格が漂い始め、そしてこのアルバム、「Vengeance Falls」で傑作を残してきました。このバンドの魅力は、イマドキのメタルコアをベースに、正統派の・硬派なメタルをやっているところです。この6thアルバムでは、スクリームを控え、Kichiiの男臭いクリーンボーカルが光っています。ギターリフもかなり正統派のソレに近づき、同世代のメタルコア勢とは完全に一線を画した作品となりました。#3がMVの曲、「Strife」。イントロの硬派なリフから痺れます。曲自体はコンパクトにまとまっていて、スクリームは皆無。サビはなかなかにドラマチックでキャッチー。このアルバムを最もよく表す曲です。続く#4はツインギターが入ったり、疾走したりと、なかなか聴きごたえのある曲。メタルコアらしい緩急の付け方が、メロスパーには新鮮です。#5もカッコいい。リフ、リードギター、ボーカルが別々のメロディを奏でていながらも破綻しないブリッジは、なかなかの構築力。そしてサビの「cannot breathe, cannot breathe」がすごく好き。#6以降もなかなかカッコいい曲が続きます。なんとなく1曲1曲が似ている気もしますが、それはこのジャンルの宿命というか、疾走したり変拍子が入ったりしない分、ある程度は仕方ない。#10は静かに始まるイントロが、メランコリックさを醸し出します。中盤以降はバンドサウンドになり、そして終盤以降、雰囲気が変わり、ドラマチックで哀愁のあるメロディ、そして劇的なギターソロで幕を閉じます。#11以降はボーナストラックです。#11と#12は本編と変わらない雰囲気なので、実質12曲入り＋ボーナス1曲、みたいな感じです。#13は青春パンクをメタルのリズム隊でやっちゃいました。みたいな曲。MISFITSというバンドのカバー曲ですが、これはこれでアリです。パンクやのに歌うますぎやろ。みたいな。全体を通してメロディーは抑えめ、そしてリードギターよりもリフがメインなので、僕が普段聴くようなメタルとは楽しみ方が違います。それでも、このアルバムはクセになっちゃいますね。抑え目なメロディーが、逆にカッコよさを引き立たせますし、メタラーなら誰もがゾクゾクするようなリフのオンパレードです。アルバムの雰囲気は統一されていて、#3の「Strife」を除いて耳に残るフレーズは少ないですが、完成度はめちゃくちゃ高く、何度も聴きたくなる1枚であることは間違いないです。人気・実力を兼ね備えたTriviumのこの作品は、メタル初心者にも是非オススメしたいです！クリーンボイスが多いので、メロパワなんかが好きな人でも絶対に気に入る1枚です。
The brilliance of Trivium is that if you stick with their albums for a few listens, you will always suddenly 'get' them. Trivium are one of my favourite groups, having been a fan from when the very 1st cd came out.With this cd I had to listen to it a few times over and it gets better with each listen its a great cd and one favourite in particular is Strife.
